BIOGRAPHY
Mike Machado is a Canadian-born, Blues-Rock recording artist currently based in Vancouver, BC. Heavily drawing on the influence of rock guitars and psychedelic and modern blues music, Mike Machado lives to play music with passion and soul. His band 'Mike Machado Trio' plays all around bars, pubs, private/corporate events in Vancouver and the surrounding areas and pays tribute to the Blues giants of the 60's psychedelic era as well as the modern. They love to put on a soulful, high energy show and can guarantee a memorable live music experience. On bass is Zach Saunders and on drums is Dallas Spani.

​Along with being featured with his band, Mike Machado also plays solo shows and is represented by various prestigious agencies based in Vancouver. These include ‘Jeff Turner Agency’, noted for their extensive roster of international performance talent ranging from live music to comedy, ’Siegel Entertainment’, which focuses on placing live music in various venues ranging from hotels, wineries, up-scale restaurants, corporate events etc… As well as, ‘Musos’ agency that places musicians in venues like Grouse Mountain, wineries and various bars and restaurants around town.
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Mike Machado has made a name for himself in the bar/pub/venue circuit in downtown Vancouver, Lower Mainland and GTA. His band, The Mike Machado Trio is the fruition of a dedication and love towards the Blues, Blues-Rock and Psychedelic Rock. Their shows are a real live experience and they bring an intensity and edginess that is a trademark of their shows and sound. They dont hold back and you can guarantee an authentic live Blues experience.
In spring of 2014, having absorbed what Toronto had to offer creatively, Mike moved to LA, set on learning and growing as an artist and performer by taking in the “soul music” (blues/rock/RnB/hiphop) that was happening there. Mike absorbed a lot as a side-man playing lead/rythem guitar for local hiphop bands and gaining valuable on-stage performance experience, though he realized that starting his own band would be the only way to truly express his musical desires.
In Sept of 2014 Mike Machado landed in Vancouver to call his new home. Through taking advantage of the busking scene here and networking at local open-mics and attending shows Mike found himself able to quickly break into the music scene and be featured regularly around Vancouver. His band the Mike Machado Trio play monthly in pubs/bars all over the Lower Mainland and the GTA. They play psychedelic blues/rock/soul originals and covers and covers that pay tribute to the Blues giants of the '60's and modern era (Jimi Hendrix, Cream, BB King, James Brown, Chuck Berry, SRV, John Mayer etc...).
